OnStar MyLink Mobile App Released

Nov. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- GM and OnStar have released this cool new app for those owners of select 2011 Chevy vehicles that have select iPhone OS or Android OS devices. Good Chevrolet employees recently got to see this new app at the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze training event that GM held last week in Kent, WA.

New Chevy owners can look forward to using the app (as long as they have sufficient network coverage) to:

   * - Lock and unlock doors
   * - Start vehicles remotely
   * - Activate the horn and lights to help locate the vehicle
   * - Contact an OnStar Advisor, roadside assistance, or their preferred dealer.
   * - View real-time fuel information, including fuel range, gallons of gas remaining, and lifetime MPG
   * - Check remaining oil life
   * - View current tire pressure readings and recommendations
   * - Access account information

New users will need to have an active OnStar account and valid Onstar website username and password to use the apps.

OnStar MyLink Compatible Devices and App Download:

   * iPhone®6 and iPod Touch® devices – visit the AppStore and search for “OnStar MyLink”
   * Android™5 mobile device with WVGA or HVGA resolution running Android OS 2.1 or later – visit the Android Market using your mobile device and search for “OnStar MyLink”

According to the Onstar website, the following 2011 Chevrolet models available at Good Chevrolet will be able to take advantage of the new system.

   * - 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Camaro
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Cruze
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Equinox
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Impala
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Suburban
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Traverse
   * - 2011 Chevrolet Volt
