A Historic Masterpiece Gets a Multi-Million Dollar Facelift and Comes Alive

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 29, 2010 - Visitors are spellbound immediately after entering the front gates of this towering 1886 mansion which has been completely restored and renovated to suit today’s lifestyle.  This was all implemented without compromising the  original architectural integrity of the three story 10,000 sq. ft. mansion.  The passion and drive to restore this Nationally Historic home has been lead by two men from south Florida along with 300 national and local sponsors who decided that it was their responsibility and privilege to preserve this piece of  American history for generations to come. Stetson Mansion was the winter estate of famed hat maker and philanthropist John B Stetson.  Built by noted architect George T Pearson the mansion is one of the first homes in the entire world to be designed and built with Thomas Edison electricity.  Architecturally the mansion appears exactly as it did in 1886 but aesthetically it shines brighter than ever before.  The new owners of the mansion came up with the idea of inviting local and national sponsors to join them in their enormous undertaking and to date they have enrolled over 300 partners to proudly become an integral factor in the saving of this magnificent piece of Americana.  The mansion is a wonderful reminder of what is great about America  and how anyone can overcome adversity and succeed regardless of their story or situation.  Visitors will be guided through every room of this private home by knowledgeable tour guides or on occasion one of the owners.  Antiques and more modern elements of style and function are seamlessly integrated throughout the 9 bedroom 12 bathroom estate all the while being enveloped by the craftsmanship  and elegance of a time gone by.  Noted travel writer and author Roberta Sandler says “I think Stetson Mansion is an  exquisite work of art that is a must see for anyone visiting the Orlando or Daytona Beach area”.
