And you thought trick or treating was the highlight this weekend?  The fun starts today.  Here’s the low down on some boo-rific weekend treats that you won’t want to miss.

Halloween Costume Party at Gymboree, Red Bank:  Your little ones will love tumbling at this Gymboree party with Gymbo the Clown.  There will be a Halloween parade, parachute time and photo ops with Gymbo.  
FEE: $15 Members, $20 Non Members.

Halloween Dance Party at Kick Fitness & Dance, Fair Haven: Come in costume and dance, dance, dance!  The party is for kids ages 4-10 in the Fair Haven studio.  Treats will be served. FEE: $5 for registered students, $10 for guests.

Ricky’s Candy, Cones & Chaos, Red Bank: Helloooo Moms and Dads!  Drop the kids off at Ricky’s tonight, while you enjoy an evening out.  (There will be no protesting this babysitter.)  Kids will be entertained with Halloween crafts and games, popcorn and a movie.  They can make their own ice cream sundaes and add Halloween toppings.  But dinner first: pizza will be served.  And kids who come in costume have a chance to win a prize.  Call to reserve a spot! FEE: $18 ($20 at the door).

The Middletown Arts Center, Middletown: Join the MAC for a howling good time for all ages on Friday night.  Mom and Dad can enjoy ballroom dancing a costume contest, and more, while the kiddies have fun hanging out in the Pumpkin Patch on the lower level.  They’ll have their own dance with Miss Deena, cartooning with Doodle Dude, Halloween crafts, costume contests, games, face painting and prizes.  Kids bring pajamas and sleeping bags for movie at 9:00 PM.  FEE: $30 per adult, $15 per child (Also family passes available).

Brookdale Haunted Theater, Lincroft: Take a walk-thru the spacious spread of dastardly dioramas, live and undead, created by past and present students of Brookdale’s Performing Arts Center’s drama program.  Enter the auditorium for a bit of horrorific orientation, then it's on to the trek around the labyrinth.  Tours are from 6:00 PM-10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday nights.  (The Not So Scary Tour is from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM on Saturday.)

Halloween Party and Puppet Show, Atlantic Highlands:  Spend Saturday at the Papermoon Puppet Theater’s performance of Hansel & Gretel.  Children who wear a costume will receive $2.00 off their admission.  There will be a special Halloween Give-A-Way for all children and light refreshments will be served after the show. FEE: $9 ($7 for costumed kids).

Count Basie Theater’s Young Actors Creative Costume Caper, Red Bank:  Calling All Goblins, Gypsies, Ghosts & Ghouls! Get dressed in your favorite costume and join Ms. Giustiniani for a fun-filled adventure into the imaginative world of creative theatre.  Workshop will include acting, singing, movement activities and simple crafts!  Ages 4-6. FEE: $10 per student.

Halloween Bounce, West Long Branch: What kid doesn’t enjoy a good bounce house?  And at R Bounce’s Halloween Bounce, your kids will have their choice of many.  They can bounce till their hearts content, enjoy pizza, drinks, and of course some treats.

Halloween Haunted Carnival at the YMCA, Red Bank: Don't miss this FREE fun filled Halloween Party at the Red Bank Family Health & Fitness Center on Saturday.  There will be oodles of Halloween fun including:  A haunted fun house, mummy and my wrap game, a witches obstacle course, clown time crafts, face painting, and more.  The carnival runs from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM for ages 3-13.  (Bring a canned good to donate to families in need.)  FEE: FREE

Haunted School Night, Mother Teresa Regional School, Atlantic Highlands:  Tour the creepy halls of Mother Teresa Regional School from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM on Saturday, if you dare.  The school will be transformed into a haunted house—from mad science labs to a spooktacularly appropriate toddler room, with story telling and movies. Enter the costume and pumpkin carving contests!  There will be food and fun for all.  FEE: $3.00 per person.

Halloween Dance at Be Bop Parties, Tinton Falls: Your kids can Bop till they drop on Sunday at Be Bop’s Halloween dance party.  $10 per person for an hour and a half of dancing, singing, prizes, snacks and drinks.  This party is fun for parents, too!  Space is limited so RSVP. FEE: $10 per person.

{ Sunday, October 31  |  11:00 AM-12:30 PM }

Macabre Manor Scaredy Cat Tour, Keyport:  This haunted house is generally not for the faint of heart. But kids may enjoy the Scaredy Cat and Behind the Screams tour on Sunday for the young, the not so brave, and the curious.  This is a lights-on guided tour without actors. FEE: $5 per person.
