HTC 7 Mozart Review - 8 Mega-Pixel Camera

Oct. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- The latest offering from HTC is sure to catch the fancy of the tech savvy people. The Windows Phone 7 powered device, HTC 7 Mozart, seems really enticing. Its aluminum unibody construction and 8 megapixel camera with Xenon Flash are the scoring points, giving it a trendy and snazzy look. HTC 7 is equipped with a unique application, called the HTC hub app. In simple terms it is the modified version of HTC sense which looks like a weather application featuring a portal with links to some other HTC applications.

The display is one of the major highlights of Mozart 7. It has a 3.7 inches S-LCD capacitive touch screen offering a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Other attractions of the display that the gadget lovers are sure to love include proximity sensor for auto turn off, accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate, and multi touch input method.

HTC 7 Mozart is supportive of both 2G and 3G networks. The users of the 2G network can have easy access  to the quad band GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900; while the 3G users will get the active assistance of the dual band HSDPA 900/ 2100. For facilitating the process of data connectivity, Class 32 GPRS and EDGE offer a moderate support. However, for letting the users to have a high speed browsing experience, Mozart 7 is loaded with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and HSDPA (up to 7.2 mbps). For transferring data to/from other compatible devices, there are two options available to the users. A user can either make a good use of cable-based connectivity of microUSB v2.0 or can go wireless with v2.1 with A2DP. The phone has 8GB memory which is not expandable as the phone does not include the microSD card slot.

The 8 megapixel camera with Xenon Flash and auto focus is sure to arrest the attention of the users. The camera offers a resolution of 3264x2448 pixels and it includes face detection and geo tagging among other features. There is no secondary camera supporting video calling. The camera is invested with the ability to record videos at 720p. The other important multimedia features of HTC 7 Mozart are the music and video player. These media players can play files of diverse formats.  The music player can play MP3/ AAC+/ WAV /WMA9 player; and the video playback can stream MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV9 player.
