Lake Arrowhead Church to Host Harvest Celebration Oct. 31

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 28, 2010 - The public is invited to attend the Church of the Woods’ annual Harvest Celebration to celebrate God’s bounty, on Sunday, October 31 from 5 until 7:30 p.m. at 1410 Calgary Rd. in Lake Arrowhead. Events will include live music, carnival games, plenty of candy and a hot dog dinner, which will feature tasty condiments (including chili), warm corn bread, fresh green salad, homemade dressings and a choice of apple crisp or pumpkin dessert, and soft drinks, all of which will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. Although the festival is free, the cost for dinner is $4 per person or $20 for a family of six or more.

Kids are invited to come in costume (nothing too scary) to play games such as pumpkin bowling, pumpkin golf, doughnut-relay and a cake walk, just to name a few! The youth group will set up amazing mazes—one for the little tykes and another for older children. And, as if all of this isn’t enough, the church will be renting two bouncy houses and a BIG slide. At the end of the evening, participants will enjoy our famous “Trunk or Treating,” which is a safe alternative to the door-to-door tradition.
