Taber Estes Thorne & Carr’s Paul Leslie Named Interim GC for Parkland Health & Hospital System

Oct. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- DALLAS – Experienced health care attorney Paul S. Leslie of Dallas’ Taber Estes Thorne & Carr PLLC has been named interim general counsel for the Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas.

Mr. Leslie brings more than 20 years of legal expertise to Parkland, including five years as assistant general counsel for a Fortune 500 health care company. His industry experience includes directing and negotiating government inquiries, overseeing and budgeting litigation, and advising clients on compliance and regulatory issues.

“Parkland hospital has played such an important role in our city for more than 100 years,” says Mr. Leslie. “I am honored that the board of managers and executive team have entrusted me to help guide Parkland during one of the most dynamic periods for health care change and regulation in our country’s history.”

In his new role, Mr. Leslie will rely on his extensive health care background to direct Parkland’s legal operations and strategies. He will continue his work at Taber Estes Thorne & Carr while serving as the hospital system’s full-time general counsel until a permanent general counsel is hired. His six-month term began Oct. 15, 2010.
