2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Is The Official “SUV Of Texas”

Oct. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Well it has been announced recently that the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV was named the “SUV of Texas” by the Texas Auto Writers Association also known as TAWA. This top honor is awarded at the two-day “Texas Truck Rodeo” coordinated by the professional journalists’ group.

"It was an honor to represent Jeep at the Texas Auto Writers Association 'Truck Rodeo,' and we are thrilled that this opinion-leading journalist organization has recognized the all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee as the 'SUV of Texas' and the 'Full-size SUV of Texas,' and the iconic Jeep Wrangler Unlimited as the 'Mid-size SUV of Texas,' said Mike Manley, President and CEO -- Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. The event names three overall winners, including Truck of Texas, SUV of Texas and Crossover of Texas, along with 12 additional categories. Over 40 TAWA members were given on and off road evaluations with the Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and their other competitors. There competition? Fifty-seven pickup trucks, SUVs and crossover vehicles. The Jeep Grand Cherokee was the one to win the big prize of the “SUV of Texas”.
