ATLANTA, GA - The Interfaith Children's Movement will honor child advocates at its 10th Annual Prayer Dinner, Thurs., Oct. 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at The Temple and will hold "A Conversation about Our Children" with candidates for Lt. Gov.

Interfaith Children’s Movement Honors Child Advocates at 10th Annual Prayer Dinner

ATLANTA, GA – The Interfaith Children’s Movement (ICM) will hold its 10th annual prayer dinner, Thursday, October 28, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at The Temple, located at 1589 Peachtree Street, NE, Atlanta.  At the prayer dinner, the following will be presented with the ICM Advocacy Award:

First Lady Mary Perdue – Child Advocacy Award
Rev. and Mrs. Joseph E. Lowery - Child Advocacy Award
State Senator Renee Unterman - Child Advocacy Award
Judge Nina Hickson - Child Advocacy Award
St. Benedict's Episcopal Church (Smyrna, GA)  - Faith Community Child Advocacy Award
Green Acres Baptist Church (Smyrna, GA) – Faith Community Child Advocacy Award
New Haven United Methodist Church (Dalton, GA)  - Faith Community Child Advocacy Award
Prestige Ministry, Founder Pastor Taffi Dollar, World Changers Church International – Faith Community Advocacy Award
The Douglas Center/Angela's House at Youth Villages – Child Advocacy Award

ICM will also hold "A Conversation about Our Children," which will be moderated by former CNN anchor Lyn Vaughn.  Invited discussion participants include Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, Mrs. Carol Porter and Mr. Dan Barber. ICM sees this as an opportunity to deepen the discussion about how we as the collective community should respond to the growing needs of our children.
