Oct. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Innovate 2010, San Francisco – FreshBooks (www.freshbooks.com), the leader in online invoicing, announced today that its billing management and invoicing services will be available in the PayPal Apps beta. The FreshBooks application strengthens PayPal's offering for professionals who bill for services and hours, rather than merchandise.

While FreshBooks has long supported PayPal payment options from its own service, this integration marks the first time U.S. PayPal users will be able to access FreshBooks directly from their PayPal account.

Once launched, FreshBooks’ availability in PayPal Apps will offer the 30 million PayPal consumers and business owners who visit PayPal.com each month professional invoicing, easy time tracking and strong invoice management and analytics features from FreshBooks, combined with one of the world's largest online payment services. In short, small businesses, service providers, and other professionals can more easily manage clients and invoices, and get paid faster than ever.

If a FreshBooks user is set up with PayPal, they will be able to create, edit, send, and manage their FreshBooks invoice directly from the PayPal interface. Clients can use PayPal to pay the invoice immediately online – for quick payment fulfillment and simpler, shorter billing cycles.

With 87 million active accounts in 190 markets, PayPal saw $21 billion in Total Payment Volume, the total value of transactions in Q2 2010. The integration with FreshBooks will strengthen PayPal's appeal to small businesses beyond eBay and online merchants.

"We welcome FreshBooks to PayPal Apps," said Damon Hougland, senior director of PayPal X. "The FreshBooks platform offers robust invoicing, management and analytics features that will greatly benefit our business users, particularly those professionals who bill based on services and time."

"The potential for PayPal's platform is staggering. The advantages of secure, quick, virtually anywhere, anytime payment processing are universal and cut across industries, business sizes, types, geography," said Mike McDerment, CEO, FreshBooks. "By adding FreshBooks to the PayPal marketplace, we'll be opening our service to a massive, nearly 90 million strong user base."

PayPal Apps is currently in beta and has been made available to attendees of Innovate 2010 and will be launched to a broader audience early next year. Users will need to have both a U.S. PayPal and FreshBooks account. If PayPal users are not already FreshBooks users, they will be prompted to create a FreshBooks account.

FreshBooks offers tiered pricing (starting from a free account for the solo professional user) that let businesses of all sizes – from designers to law firms - choose the plan that fits their needs. No contracts are required. Sign up for a free account at FreshBooks  and begin sending invoices and tracking time a few seconds later.
