10th Semi-Annual “San Francisco Birth & Baby Fair” to Support Educational Fundraising

Sunday, November 21st, 10am - 5pm
Fort Mason Herbst Pavilion
99 Marina Blvd, San Francisco, Ca 94123

The semi-annual Birth & Baby Fair is an all access pass to everything pregnancy, baby & early parenting in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Attendees will find information and get answers to their questions in an informal environment with over 65 resource exhibitors, including Getzwell Pediatrics, Mamas Resource Network, the San Francisco Doula Group as well as a variety of Bay Area mothers groups.  Free workshops and demonstrations on topics such as Baby Sign Language, Doulas, Vaccines, and Making your own Baby Food will be ongoing throughout the event.

The Fair is dedicated to being a community oriented event. Larger corporations are invited to sponsor but most exhibitors and vendors are small, home grown businesses.  A majority of vendors are momprenuers, parents who discovered a need and created a product or service to fill that need.  Over 50 unique, local designers will be on hand to sell their maternity, baby & toddler clothing and accessories.  In addition, the Maternity Xchange sale, featuring new & nearly new consigned maternity clothing, will be the destination for stylish, savvy expecting moms who don’t want to break the bank.

The organizers have recently launched a “Support Our Schools Campaign.”  Customized vouchers are sent to schools & community organizations with 100% of the ticket fees generated through the program being donated to the designated school or group.  When asked why the event would be willing to donate the full percentage of ticket sales Event Coordinator, Bernadette Dee answers, “ Our focus is on family so I would happily donate thousands of dollars if I could.  Knowing that we’ve reached out and given many, who might not otherwise attend, the power to make informed decisions about their pregnancy and their growing families is our ultimate goal. And what better way to help strengthen families then by supporting our children’s education?”

Gift bags, sponsored by The Bump, will be available for the first 150 families through the door and companies, Bugaboo, Stokke, Bumbleride, Maclaren, and Mamas & Papas have each generously donated strollers as raffle prizes.  There will be a tot spot for little ones to play or participate in craft activities and a spa lounge for moms to relax and enjoy mini-massages and complimentary beauty treatments.

Tickets are $8 or 2/$12.  Discounted and free passes are available at sponsors locations.  Details can be found at www.BirthandBabyFair.com
