Beth Paoni, Member of Center Stage Kitchen, L.L.C., says the creation came out of a need. “I find people gather in my kitchen when I entertain. Unfortunately, the large area consumed by the cooking area ends-up being unusable space.” She continues, “A stage is a great solution - it transforms what was unusable space into an entertainment area.”
A stage serves many purposes including: disguising/hiding a cooktop surface; creating significantly more counter space; acting as a serving tray when turned over; and becoming the base of a tiered platform.
“On average, a stage adds six square feet of usable counter space to a kitchen,” says Diane Schott, also a member of Center Stage Kitchens. “Whether you use it to create a tiered table or as a serving area, that’s quite a bit of space.”
The stages are measured and built to each customer’s specifications. CSK’s artisans can also customize a stage such to include a monogram, design or favorite still-life.
