Oct. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Now that we’ve reached the “-ber” months, the year is ending.  2010 has been a solid year for gaming so far, with huge releases such as StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty, Red Dead Redemption and Halo: Reach.  But what about the rest of year?

Here are some releases that eager gamers can look forward to, so get those shopping lists ready:

Call of Duty: Black Ops – November 9, 2010
Treyarch is set to give us another memorable CoD experience, this time taking place during the years of the infamous Cold War.  Black Ops promises to give us a gritty single-player campaign and an exciting multiplayer mode that should keep us busy until the next installment.  Check out all the features here. Vanquish – October 19, 2010
This is something like Gears of War meeting Crysis.  Vanquish takes the familiar third person cover system engine and gives players a chance to don a kick-ass suit that lets you slow down time and skid across the floor at supersonic speeds.  In the end, what you get is pure pandemonium and fast-paced action that’s sure to satisfy any action junkie.

Gran Tourismo 5 – November 2, 2010
Patient fans can now rejoice.  This game has been in development for so long that most of us thought that we’d never get to play it.  With over a thousand of different cars to choose from, it’s probably the closest I will get to driving a real Audi R8.

FIFA 11 – September 28, 2010
Another year, another FIFA?  Hardly.  FIFA 11 boasts an improved AI, better graphics, a new personality system that mimics the playing style of your favorite players and new modes.  Being one of the best-selling games every year, the FIFA series has always proved itself to be an ever evolving football simulator.  And FIFA 11 is likely to meet these standards.

Little Big Planet 2 – November 16, 2010
Sony’s cute little platformer is getting a sequel later this year.  The game will still feature the same painfully adorable sackboy (or sackgirl), only this time with a more in-depth level editor and support for the new Playstation Move.

NBA 2K11 – October 5, 2010
Better graphics, check.  Smarter AI, check.  Updated rosters, check.  Tighter gameplay mechanics, check.  Play as Michael Jordan, SOLD!  Now everyone will have a chance to be like Mike.
