Advice to Succeed in Work Now Available on Kindle

Employees new to the workforce can now read advice geared to them on Kindle with release of Promotions Are Not Served At The Deli Counter on eReader.

Oct. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Some employees want to succeed at work but don’t know the steps they need to be successful and promotable. Other employees expect the promotions to come to them without much extra work; they might even feel entitled to it. In his new book, Promotions Are Not Served At The Deli Counter, Michael Patterson offers straight-forward advice in a conversational matter to help meet employees’ goals at work and life.

Now for the first time, the book is available on Amazon's Kindle and other eReaders, in addition to print.

Patterson began writing the book in the spring of 2009, dismayed at the sense of entitlement younger employees displayed in the workplace. Advice in the book centers around values taught by his father for success, which holds up today as it did years ago.

Patterson knows what it takes to succeed. He began his own career right out of high school working as a teller. He followed the principles he would write about now to work his way up the corporate ladder to a successful banking career. Today, he leads the training department of a $1.3 billion, 300 employee credit union in southeast Pennsylvania.
