Bridgeport’s Mighty-Merge™ 4157-DC transition fitting saves labor and material costs

Oct. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- STRATFORD, Conn. – Bridgeport Fittings has introduced the Mighty-Merge™ 4157-DC transition fitting that will save contractors the labor and material cost of installing and bonding a junction box, or the assembly time to make up a fitting that provides the necessary connection. The Mighty-Merge™ solution is considerably faster and more profitable than traditional junction box installation.

Ideal for new construction and retrofits in schools and commercial building applications, the 4157-DC safely and securely transitions 14/2 to 10/3 AC/MC cables to EMT conduit without damaging conductor insulation.

With the Mighty-Merge™ fitting, installers simply remove the desired length of armor that will allow for the exposed conductors to reach the device box or enclosure. The required inspection holes will provide for a positive visual end stop for both armor and recommended anti-short bushings. Installers then tighten screws for cable between armor convolutions and for ¾” EMT.
