Tom Walls, a former senior engineer at Bombardier Aerospace. With a wealth of engineering experience working for Westland Helicopters, Marconi and Boeing, Tom came across the Stereolithography process, introduced by 3D Systems Inc. in the mid eighties, before it was even heard of in the UK!

Realising the potential for a UK based Rapid Prototyping service not just in aerospace but in many other fields including automotive, medical and electrical, Tom set up Laser Prototypes (Europe) Ltd.

Using the latest ISO medically approved Stereolithography resins, Laser Prototypes can now offer prototypes directly suitable for clinical testing in a few days- available only at the much later "first off tool" stage. Now these tests can be carried our at concept design stage prior to any expensive tooling.
