There are things that deplete our energy and if you know what they are you can have control over them.
Stress is a big depletor of energy. Stress can be emotional, but the major depletors are physical. Things such as: lack of sleep, bad diet, injuries, and travel can be stressors. One of the main stressors is chemical stressors, additives in food being significant. Incorrect vitamins, pollution, things we put on and in our bodies need to be scrutinized.
These stressors cause your adrenal glands to fatigue. Your adrenals are glands that sit on the kidney and are greatly affected by stress. They produce adrenaline, but they also are involved with blood sugar regulation, sleep regulation, energy and mood. When the adrenals get tired, so do you. You can get depressed, sleep poorly, sleep a lot but still feel tired, hurt more, be grumpy, etc.
I have seen patients come in totally wiped out, depressed, unable to function, who, when their adrenals were healed, were active, happy and productive.
More in Part Two of this series on how to counteract the specific things that rob us of energy.
