“We are very excited about the app. It allows us to take our existing EPUB format eBooks and easily make an iPhone app to reach the rapidly growing digital reading market,” said Paula Newton, managing editor at VIVA Travel Guides. “Travelers can now access our guidebooks with their iPhones offline without carrying around a heavy paper book.”

“As a writer, I am very excited about this initiative and using AuthorMob technology to reach a broader audience to sell more books,” said Crit Minster PhD, author of several books in the VIVA Travel Guides series. “The app helps us give readers up-to-date information and allows us to simultaneously market our books to continuously attract and interact with new readers and community members. We can now send out messages to our biggest fans as "push notifications" informing them about events such as book releases or our VIVA Travel Writing Boot Camps.”

VIVA’s app created by AuthorMob also has features that help cultivate a fan base across social networking platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

“AuthorMob enables publishers and authors to sell and promote their content as iPhone and iPad apps to reach a large and expanding audience that has already downloaded more than seven billion iPhone apps in an arena where the second most popular app category is books,” said Jason Halberstadt, CEO at Metamorf. “Now publishers and authors can dramatically lower the costs and technical barriers involved in building apps, and begin to sell their titles in the App Store. It only takes a few minutes to have your own app up and running.”
