Homeowners Gear Up for Half Term Paint Projects

Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- As dark nights draw in, October’s half-term week is traditionally one of the busiest times in householders’ calendars, as people prepare to brighten up their homes.
The Painting and Decorating Association is on hand to signpost consumers to trusted professionals able to offer advice on colour and how to achieve the right finish.
Decorators displaying the distinct red, blue and white Painting and Decorating Association logo have measured up to the trade body’s testing professional standards.
Recently the PDA, in association with Crown Paints, launched a new campaign to celebrate the role colour plays in our lives.

On the website, viewers can take part in the online poll, with just five short questions to answer - the favourite shade for the inside and exterior of a home, as well as doors and windows, together with the voter’s home county and their age.

Those completing the poll have the chance of winning one of 30 iPod shuffle in a prize draw.
Neil Ogilvie, National President of the PDA, said: “Half term week is always a busy time in the painting and decorating industry, with people looking to get ready for Christmas and create a warm feel for autumn and winter.
“Colour can transform homes and PDA members are on hand to offer the necessary advice and craftsmanship to achieve the best effect.”
