Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- 10 months of skilled labour that included the delicate uplift, minimal impact renovation, strengthening and finally the replacement of this grade II listed monument.  From smelting of 100 year old lead fixings and careful removal of Victorian hot rivets, to the invention of a modular repair system so that as much of the original structure as possible could be retained, this splendid parapet has been returned to it's former glory.

More than that though, the work has been carried out in a way that keeps the natural erosion, weathering and even past repairs visible so that the bridge's own story can continue to be told.

Skilled staff, metallurgists, pattern makers, fabricators and casting engineers developed invisible repairs and modular systems that mean 100% of the original panels have been saved and around 50% of the original posts.

This stunning monument should now be good to grace the town of Dewsbury for another 100 years.
