Oct. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- It is with great pleasure to announce that UNICEF Cardiff have raised over £2,000 in what is our first fundraising event - the annual Cardiff Half Marathon.

Having only become an official group in June 2010, this was a great opportunity to become our first event. UNICEF Cardiff is a group working in aid of and fundraising for UNICEF UK.

UNICEF Cardiff got together nine keen participants who've spent the past couple of months working hard to get fit enough for the Half Marathon. With just one of the nine having previously run in such an event, it was definitely going to be a tough couple of months build up.

Yesterday saw the 8th annual Cardiff Half Marathon take place under the sunny blue sky of the Capital City. Each of the nine runners completed the race in what each would say was a very pleasing time in comparison to their targets.

As part of the event, I decided that were to write about the event in great detail on the UNICEF Cardiff blog. This describes my story and experience of the day and wanted to share with all the emotions that came with it. You can read my story here along with ways in which you can still donate:
