SOAR® Learning, Inc. Wins Top Honors in Mom Business Competition

Over 709,000 votes were cast in support of the 2010 contestants, reflecting immense interest and supportiveness for moms building businesses at the same time they tend to their families.

“We were thrilled to participate in this contest and draw attention to e-neur moms,” said Susan Kruger, owner of SOAR Learning, Inc.  “We had a lot of wonderful customers, friends, family, and community members supporting our competition and we are so grateful for their support.  In reality, they are the total reason for our success in the first place!”

As a former “struggling student,” Kruger has been teaching students of all ages how to learn (a skill that is usually NOT taught in school) and develop self-confidence for over 14 years.  She is a certified teacher, learning specialist, and author of SOAR Study Skills, a curriculum used in over 600 schools nationwide.  She continues to work with students, parents, and educators through nationwide speaking engagements and web-based classes.

Kruger says it is a wonderfully rewarding experience to help students develop confidence and become more successful in school, but there is so much more work to do:

- 30% of US students drop out of high school.
- 40% of college students are required to take a remedial college course.
- 50% of college students drop out before getting a degree.
- 66% of high school HONOR students fall behind in college!

Most students simply do not know how to manage the work and their learning time.  Kruger’s mission is to reach as many students as possible and help them get better grades in less time, too!
