S3 Answers Public Outcry Against Gap Logo, Wins Redesign Contest

Oct. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- (October 15, 2010 - Boonton, NJ): Whether or not GAP's new logo fiasco was intended as a PR stunt, it certainly made the news. It also united the world against a common enemy: the new logo. So when a prominent blog solicited entries for better GAP logo designs, S3 entered...and took second place!

After the votes were calculated, S3 Art Director Steve Juliano's GAP vision rose to the top of hundreds of entries. His logo exploration addressed the system of GAP stores – GAP, BABY GAP and GAP MATERNITY – in a manner that was more modern yet retained DNA from the original GAP.

The public was relieved when GAP quickly denounced their "new logo." If GAP's true intent is to evolve their identity, we hope they will give this blog a visit – and give S3 a call.
