Westport, CT. October 13, 2010. The Westport Inn, a boutique hotel in historic Westport, Connecticut, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Williamson as General Manager. Williamson, an experienced hotelier, is a 12-year veteran of the hospitality industry in Fairfield County, having served most recently as General Manager at the Sheraton Four Points in Norwalk. Williamson also served as Operations Manager at the Westport Inn between 2001 - 2005. Williamson rejoins the Westport Inn at a time of rebirth and renewal. Charged with overseeing a dramatic renovation of all of the property’s 115-guestrooms and suites, as well as the Inn’s lobbies, dining and considerable event space, Williamson has charted an ambitious course. The hotel will remain open throughout the project, with the phased introduction of a complete refurbishment throughout the 2010 - 1011 winter season. “I am thrilled to rejoin the Westport Inn and to participate in the re-launch of this legendary property” says Williamson. “I am sure the Inn will quickly be recognized throughout the region and indeed Connecticut as a premier destination for distinguished ambiance and personal service.” Sheldon Stein, managing member of Ranger Properties, LLC, the development firm which purchased the property in 2007, says the Westport Inn is pleased to have been able to bring Williamson on-board. “Williamson’ The Westport Inn, a 115-room boutique hotel, is located in Westport, Connecticut.
