Humane Society of Montgomery County 16th Annual "Mutt Strutt"

Oct. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- The Woodlands, Texas  – The Humane Society of Montgomery County’s 16th annual Mutt Strutt & Dog Day Afternoon “fun”raiser will be held on Saturday, October 30th  in Town Green Park, The Woodlands from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine.

This annual fundraising event for HSMC, which encourages human and canine participation alike, begins with a one-mile pledge walk at 10:00 am and is followed by a day of fun and games, pet adoptions, artwork, food and drinks, entertainment, doggie demonstrations and much, much more throughout the day.

If you and your best four-legged friend would like to ‘strutt your stuff,’ you can register in advance by contacting Naomi Kern at 713-725-3326 or email at Naomi@naomikern.com or download registration forms from HSMC’s web site at www.hsmc-tx.org. You can also register on site beginning at 9:00 am the day of the event. Registration fee for walkers is $35.00 and registered walkers will receive an event T-shirt and “treat” bag.

After the strutting, contests will be held for the “Best Dressed Dog,” “Best Dressed Human,” and “Best Stupid Pet Trick.” A prize will also be awarded to the walker who raises the most pledge money. Vendors will be available throughout the event providing demonstrations and offering various pet-related items for sale. An original oil painting of this year’s event logo donated by Storey Studios will be raffled off. You can also have a professional photo taken of you and your BFLF (best four-legged friend) at the HSMC booth. In addition, HSMC will be accepting pet food donations to support its partnership with the Friendship Center that provides free pet food to seniors in need so that they can continue to care for their beloved companions.


Sponsorships are available at all levels: Platinum - $1500, Gold - $1000, and Silver - $500. A platinum sponsorship includes 3 booths, gold includes 2 booths, and silver includes 1 booth. All sponsors will have their name and sponsorship level listed in advertising and press releases and will be listed on a sponsor board displayed at the event. The HSMC is a 501c(3) non-profit organization and does not receive any government funding. HSMC depends on the generosity of the community. Proceeds from this event will be used to fund its programs to help end pet overpopulation and advance the humane treatment of animals.
