Elant at Goshen, Elant at Brandywine welcome new executive directors

Oct. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Goshen – Maura Brennan and Joe DiPalo, both experienced health care professionals and Dutchess County residents, were recently named executive directors of Elant at Goshen and Elant at Brandywine respectively.

“Both Maura and Joe bring so much talent and compassion to the Elant organization,” said Elant President and CEO Todd Whitney. “We look forward to both campuses benefiting from their experience and enthusiasm.”

Ms. Brennan is joining Elant at Goshen, which offers nursing care, assisted living, rehabilitation services, and adult day care services, from Elant at Brandywine, where she has held the positions of executive director and associate administrator in charge of day-to-day operations. Ms. Brennan has a Bachelors degree in Community Health Education from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale and earned her Nursing Home Administrator license from St. Joseph’s College and SUNY Institute of Technology.

“Elant is about having compassion and care for our residents and their families,” said Ms. Brennan. “It’s what I love about this career, what makes it so absolutely rewarding. And to have the opportunity to be part of the history and tradition that Elant at Goshen has makes it all the more interesting.”

Mr. DiPalo, new to the Elant organization, has taken over the helm of Elant at Brandywine Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, and comes with more than 30 years of executive health care experience. Most recently, Mr. DiPalo was president and CEO of a Washington hospital (2008-2009) and CEO of a hospital and nursing home in Margaretville, N.Y. (2003-2006). Mr. DiPalo has a Bachelors degree from SUNY College at Oneonta and an MBA from Wagner College. He has Nursing Home Administrator licenses in both New York and New Jersey.

“I am the #1 advocate for the residents so I concentrate on getting one-on-one time with them to truly get a sense of what we can do to improve their lives,” said Mr. DiPalo, who began his career as an orderly more than three decades ago. “And this is such an exciting time to join Elant; it’s really an honor to be a part of its management team.”
