Turkey Jam Youth Basketball Tournament Provides Holiday Fun for All Skill Levels

Oct. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- COLUMBUS, Ohio, October 11, 2010—Do not let your child or established team miss out on the prime opportunity to enjoy a weekend full of basketball fun during Thanksgiving break. Registration for the inaugural Turkey Jam Thanksgiving Youth Basketball Tournament begins Friday, October 15.

The three-day Turkey Jam will provide the perfect blend of a holiday-weekend release, fun and healthy competition. The tournament, sponsored by Youth Basketball of America of Ohio and USA Sports Academy, is open to both boys and girls in grades 1st through 6th. All are welcome to participate—from beginners, to experienced children who have previously participated on organized teams, in clubs or camps.

YBOA of Ohio is committed to providing a safe environment for all participants that fosters teamwork, positive attitudes and learning. YBOA is committed to teaching fundamental skills that will last a lifetime. Through positive reinforcement, and by learning through example, tournament participants’ overall basketball I.Q. will substantially increase.

Team registration is $275, but teams that register by November 1 will receive a $50 discount. Registration fees cover t-shirts for all coaches and players and a guarantee of three games. Prizes will also be given to 1st and 2nd place teams in each age group.
The event will be held on Friday, November 26 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and all day Saturday, November 27 and Sunday, November 28 at USA Sports Academy, located at 4185 East 5th Ave., Columbus, Ohio.
