Oct. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Atlanta, G.A (September 19, 2010) – Sapphire Ink Public Relations’ annual charity event, A Royal Affair gives a new perspective to what it means to be a fashionista. The event held at H. Lenore  (www.H.Lenore.com) on a mid September’s day  planted seeds of empowerment, grace, style and positive self esteem to 30 Atlanta Teens. SIPR (www.sapphireinkpr.com) along with its dedicated partners,  The Davis Branch, Spilled Ink (http://spilledink.org) ,  Studio B Photography (www.thestudiobphotography.com ), KISSE Girl (www.kissegirl.com ) and Diva Sassy  (www.divasassy.com) to name a few, donated their talents to give passion to the cause.

Because creating positive role models and events for girls is such a passion for Sapphire Ink founders Tiffany Cadogan and Lisa Nwachukwu creating a day of beauty and empowerment for young deserving women has become their gift to girls in Atlanta who are excelling in their day to  day lives. The participants included everyone from a debutants excelling in their community to girls leading the pack in their GED and mentorship programs.  “ This year we didn’t want to concentrate on only underprivileged girls,  the truth is you don’t have to be disadvantaged to need something like this, any young woman who has ever looked in the mirror and thought of what they can never be, needs this” says Lisa Nwachukwu, SIPR co-owner.

The partnership and team work witnessed at the event was truly remarkable as participants looked around and saw girls uplifting each other and volunteers beaming with pride at what a little of their time was able to do for a girl who never thought she could wear a dress or a girl who finally felt pretty after being teased for being a bit too much taller than her peers.  However, this event wasn’t all about pretty. Empowerment Coach, Charity Davis along with Dionne Longworth (http://www.kingstreets.com ) , Angelica Moss (www.Antivideogirl.org)  and Hermosa Cosmetics (http://hermosacosmetics.blogspot.com) lead discussions on everything from positive female images to skin care.  The teens of Atlanta need to feel important and it is important to plant the seeds of confidence in girls that will make them queens over their own minds, bodies, and souls as they grow into women.

The Royal Affair this year had sponsors of every kind. Sweet Destinations and Kre8tive Kre8tions provided decadent food to feed the uplifted sprits and hungry do-gooders. Hermosa Cosmetics and Beauti Control offered their services as some of the events premier make-up artists and skin care specialists.  And the The Fashion Insider, Ace Custom Clothing and Master Wardrobe stylist Lakeisha Massey offered fashion and wardrobe styling services that made donated personal treasures bold, brilliant and exciting to every girl that wore them.
