PRLog - Oct. 12, 2010 - FORT BENTON, Mont. -- Safer Medical Inc. George Ackerson: About Prescript Assist by Safer Medical Inc. George Ackerson

According to Safer Medical Inc. George Ackerson, commercialization of Prescript-Assist™, our Flagship Product, has now been formalized with the June 2005 publication of a double-blind cross-over clinical trial for the Treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) (Bittner, Croffit & Stranahan™, 2005) by Clinical Therapeutics, “The International Peer-Reviewed Journal of Drug Therapy™”.

Safer Medical Inc. George Ackerson explains that Prescript-Assist™ was more than five years in clinical development, test, and evaluation (CDTE). This effort included studies toward its formulary and recommended dosing with the resultant complex, as well as relevance for a variety of applications (highlighted through findings summarized by Smith 2005, see Research Studies).

Safer Medical Inc. George Ackerson recognizes that Prescript-Assist™ continues to show broad efficacy for other Gastrointestinal (GI) disorders and is currently the subject of both long-term clinical research for such, and finalization (for publication) of a completed study (May 2005) in Ecuador, where Safer Medical Inc. George Ackerson points out that persons in two remote villages were suffering from chronic diarrhea (associative to broader gastrointestinal illness) resulting from contaminated drinking water.

As described by Safer Medical Inc. George Ackerson, this trial was completed with the support of two Ecuadoran medical doctors, as initiated by a colleague, Sara Riser (age 69) an American Registered Nurse who operates a nonprofit organization there, Foundation Community Action, in cooperation with Global Outreach International, of Tupelo, MS. Sara has dedicated 40 years of her life in Ecuador, toward organizing medical and nursing groups for clinical practice, adjunct to her distribution wheelchairs at low cost/donation to handicapped persons as she networks with Hope Haven International, based in Rock Valley, Iowa, that provides the wheelchairs.

At Safer Medical, we are dedicated to providing Quality of Life (QOL) product technologies that have, where feasible, undergone peer-reviewed clinical studies. Most preferably, it is also our desire to distribute through licensed health care practitioners, pharmacies, etc., as these professionals are most likely to be familiar with results of published studies, the physiological basis for clinical findings, and therefore best positioned to advise the intended beneficiaries of our products, the Patients. Accordingly, as our professional distribution base increases, Safer Medical will discontinue offering products directly to the public sector; however, you can expect retail pricing to remain standardized.
