What you Need to Know About Medicare Supplements

An updated version of the BASICS brochure has been released by the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. BASICS discusses some of the most-often asked questions about Medicare Supplements including policy costs and open enrollment periods.

Oct. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- The Society of Certified Senior Advisors has released an updated version of the BASICS brochure. BASICS answers some of the most often-asked questions about Social Security, Medicare, Medicare Supplements, Medicaid, senior housing, in-home care and long-term care insurance. This informative and easy-to-read, 38-page booklet was inspired by our Certified Senior Advisors (CSAs), who have taken the time to learn about the complexity of aging and how to help seniors find the tools to navigate that journey.

Excerpt from BASICS:

“A Medigap policy sold by private insurance companies can help pay some of the health care costs (“gaps”) that Original Medicare doesn’t cover, like copayments, coinsurance and deductibles, and medical care when you travel outside the U.S….Buying Medigap insurance is an important process which should include weighing your priorities, comparing policies, and balancing coverage with affordability.”

The BASICS guide will answer all your latest questions on Medicare Supplements, including:
1.  How do I know if a policy is legitimate?
2.  Do I need Medicare to get a Medigap policy?
3.  Can I be canceled if I have a lot of health problems?
4.   What are some examples of things that are not covered by Medigap policies?
5.  and much more

This guide is available electronically or in printed format for Certified Senior Advisors only. CSAs can use this to pass along to their senior clients. This critical information will not only help them to age well but will genuinely make a difference in their lives.  To view a sample of this full color brochure, please visit http://www.csa.us/store.
