The World's First Ever Goal Setting Site For Friends

Oct. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- A Harvard Business School study concluded that writing down your goals and sharing them with people improves the chances of completing them by a massive 90%.  With that in mind, Wishbomb.com has been designed to allow people to identify their goals, set measurable targets and harness the support and help of their friends.

So whether it’s loosing weight, changing jobs, learning a new skill or paying off your debt, Wishbomb.com has been created to help.

The heart of Wishbomb.com are GoalZones, which are ‘project management’ pages for a user’s goal.  It’s here that members set themselves a deadline, chart tasks and milestones and – vitally – invite their friends to become their Supporters.

As Wishbomb’s founder, Ricky Cooper, says, “Writing down our goals is all well and good, but what really makes a difference in terms of the success rate is getting your friends involved.  At Wishbomb.com, you invite friends to become your supporters and then promise a forfeit if you don’t complete you goal.  That’s enough to motivate most people!”

Supporters are able to view their friend’s GoalZone, leave messages of support (or a friendly push in the right direction) and suggest resources to help them complete their goal.

Wishbomb.com also proactively helps people achieve their goals by targeting users with articles, books and videos that match their goal.  So if you want to lose weight, for example, you’ll be presented with useful articles, books and videos designed to help you slim down.

Users can also join Groups relating to their goals and can publish diaries of their progress in our WishBlog section so that everyone can learn from each other’s experiences, setbacks and successes.

Wishbomb.com has been launched in its beta version, is free to use and in the coming months, Wishbomb will begin to roll out a number of exciting tools and enhancements which are designed to make goal setting even easier and even more fun.
