By: Squash PR for Lower Drayton Farm Spooky festivities begin in the daytime on Thursday 28th October and continue for the next four days. If you visit between 11am and 4pm you’ll be able to get lost in the ‘mystical maze’, wander round a haunted wood and take a terrifying trailer ride before trying your hand at apple bobbing and playing ‘splat the bat’. When you’ve finished exploring, children will have the chance to take part in a pumpkin carving workshop; after which their creation will be entered into a competition to win a family ticket to see ‘Mother Goose’ in Panto, courtesy of Stafford’s Gatehouse Theatre. The highlight of the week will be an evening celebration on Sunday, 31st October where the winner of the pumpkin carving competition will be announced ahead of a fabulous fireworks display to celebrate the spooky season. With fairground rides, pumpkin bowling, a bouncy castle, face painting, a terrifying trailer ride, splat the bat and apple bobbing on offer there will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained; Fancy dress will be actively encouraged and will help raise funds for a worthwhile local charity - as LDF Entertainment Hub events manager, Val James, explains: “We really want to make Halloween fun this year and we’ve already had great interest in the events we’re organising. We’d love for everyone who attends the Sunday evening ‘spooktacular’ The ‘Spooktacular’ Gates for the evening celebration open at 5pm; ‘on the gate’ entrance will cost £8 per adult and £5 for children and concessions, with under-3s free (some rides will be subject to additional charge).
