Local Spa to Host Free Spa Day in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Oct. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Guilford, CT – September 24, 2010:Yolo aesthetic boutique & med spa will recognize Breast Cancer Awareness month with a day of celebration. On Tuesday October 5th, from 1:00-6:00 pm. Yolo will offer free beauty treatments to the public and Breast Cancer survivors.  Free services will include free brow waxing/shaping, complimentary chair massage, and more. One hundred percent of donations will go directly to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation.

Spa Owner Nikki Rasmussen, who is also a Registered Nurse, says, “This day is one of the most enjoyable events of the year for YOLO. To be able to raise awareness for such a worthy cause is really inspiring.  The real beauty is the support it gives to Breast Cancer survivors”.

Yolo offers all the services of a day spa, such as massage, facials and waxing as well as advanced anti-aging laser therapies.  Rasmussen continues, “My approach is a little different, in that I’m always conscious of sterility and client’s special needs.  For instance, all of my massage therapists are trained to be aware that Breast Cancer survivors may have Lymphodema, which might require adaptation.”
