Norme Torres Named Executive Director of Mather Pavilion

Evanston-based Nursing Care Community’s New Hire To Continue Tradition of Quality Care and Providing Ways to Age Well℠
 
Oct. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Mather LifeWays, a not-for-profit organization that has enhanced the lives of older adults for more than 50 years by creating Ways to Age WellSM, a philosophy to empower and serve older adults, has announced the appointment of Norme Torres as Executive Director of Mather Pavilion, its residential nursing care community in Evanston, Ill. Torres will report to David Kane, Mather LifeWays’ Vice President of Senior Living.

“Norme and his highly-trained staff are committed to continuing Mather Pavilion’s tradition of quality services,” said Kane. “His oversight and management capabilities will ensure that every resident receives personalized care in a setting that is designed to feel like home.”

Torres brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare and retirement community management to Mather Pavilion. Prior to joining the Mather LifeWays community, he was the administrator of Center Home in Chicago, a skilled care community with a special focus on the Hispanic population. Torres also has held administrative positions with Alden Orland Park in Orland Park, Ill., Pathway Senior Living in Des Plaines, Ill. and Senior Lifestyle Corporation in Chicago.

In addition to being a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Torres has also received certification from the Assisted Living Federation of America University as an Assisted Living Administrator. He is also an Executive Board Member of the Chicago Job Corps Center’s Advisory Council.
