Dr. Cara’s Children’s Dentistry hosts October food drive to benefit Serve Wenatchee

Oct. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Dr. Cara Schroeder, Children’s Dentistry, announces an October food drive benefitting Serve Wenatchee Valley. “October, is a month traditionally focused on candy and unhealthy snacks, so we decided to put the focus on the health of those in our community. Proper nutrition is vital to the growth and development of children, particularly for low-income children.” states Dr. Cara.
If you are interested in donating a non-perishable food item, such as canned goods, pasta, or cereal, please drop them by Children’s Dentistry of Wenatchee at 650 N. Miller Street in Wenatchee, WA. There are tubs in the main lobby designated for donations. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. If you would like to make a monetary donation please make a check payable to Serve Wenatchee Valley.
“Our goal is to help as many local families as possible with the colder weather approaching and if nothing else, to raise awareness about the problem of hunger in our community,” adds Bob Sheppard of Serve Wenatchee Valley.
Serve Wenatchee Valley helps individuals and families with their needs for food, clothing, furniture, rent, utilities and more, as they help churches help people help themselves.
