PRLog - Oct. 11, 2010 - WINSFORD, U.K. -- LEADING Midlands based financial expert Nick Platt has been appointed as a Founder Member of Alternative – a pioneering new concept in financial planning conceived by money guru Paul Armson.
Nick, founder and Managing Director of Sutton Coldfield based financial planners Henwood Court was one of the first finance professionals in the UK to bring this unique concept of wealth management very much centred on the client’s lifestyle ambitions and objectives.
“Alternative brings a very different approach to financial advice that enables clients to achieve and secure their desired lifestyle,” explained Nick speaking from his office, a 14th century Grade II listed Cruck Barn at Walmley. “That is why it is called Lifestyle Financial Planning.
“What sets Henwood Court apart is its ability to provide clients with a truly individual wealth management service, reflecting an exceptional understanding of the worlds they move in, both personally and professionally.
“I starting using the unique method created by Paul Armson about two years ago and today Alternative has developed into a very sophisticated and highly effective means of enabling clients to manage and protect their financial futures.
“The fundamental difference between Alternative and traditional financial advice is that we spend a great deal of time learning about our clients, their businesses, their aims and ambitions because we can’t properly offer advice if we don’t know what the client aims to do with his or her life.
“Maybe traditional financial advisors are trying to look after too many clients to offer a truly personal and bespoke service. They are also too focused on product they are selling rather than the client’s needs and objectives. However, my team here at Henwood Court, is committed to offering a private client experience driven to help clients achieve their goals and objectives.
“We regularly meet with clients to keep up with any changes in circumstances so we can make adjustments as and when necessary.”
Nick has been in the finance sector for nearly twenty years but set up Henwood Court some six years ago. Married with two children, he heads up a strong professional team and looks after the financial interests of clients locally and across the country.
“New clients are often surprised that at our first meeting we tend to ask them about their ambitions and their hopes for the future. When do they want to retire? What type of lifestyle do they want to enjoy?” added Nick.
“Only by thoroughly understanding their hopes and dreams can we recommend the financial measures required for them to achieve those goals.”
“We also establish a client’s Number, a term used in Alternative to represent the client’s financial standing and the sum they will need to achieve their lifestyle ambitions. Some clients may be worth much more than they thought and early retirement in a tropical paradise could become a reality sooner than they think. Others may need to consider less ambitious options.
Paul Armson, speaking from his Worcestershire head office said: “I am delighted that Nick is on board as a valued member of the Alternative movement.
“The help and advice we can offer has never been in greater demand,” added Paul. “People are confused and worried about the so-called Pensions Gap, the retirement debate and a challenging economy.
“What they need is an honest appraisal of their position and a lifestyle financial plan which Alternative can deliver thanks to the expertise and hard work of founder members like Nick.”
The Alternative system was devised for those with assets, investments and savings that add up to £250,000 or more. Research has shown that this group of individuals is most in need of bespoke lifestyle planning advice.
