New Jersey Landscape Contractor Makes Commitment In Fight Against Breast Cancer

Komen For The Cure® organization

Grandview’s commitment to join the fight against breast cancer joins many other businesses both locally and nationwide during the month of October, and their decision to donate to this particular cause comes from a very personal connection to the disease.  Having watched a family member battle breast cancer, New Jersey landscaper and owner of Grandview Outdoor, William Hazen, knew that he had to do something to fight back.  Donating to the Susan G. Komen organization during the month of October, well recognized as breast cancer awareness month, just seemed like a natural thing to do.

“Unfortunately, our family has a personal connection to breast cancer like many others, and when that happens, you just want to find some way to give back – to fight back – against this terrible disease,” explains Hazen.  “My sister puts in a lot of time and effort into raising money and awareness for breast cancer research and programs and I wanted to do my part as well.   Since October is breast cancer awareness month, I decided that donating a portion of my business profits during the month could really make a difference.”

Grandview Outdoor provides a wide array of masonry, landscaping and snow removal services in Morris, Union, Essex and Bergen counties in New Jersey, servicing residential and commercial customers.  The New Jersey landscapers will make a donation to Susan G. Komen For The Cure® with a signed contract for any of their landscaping, masonry and winter services.  So, whether customers are doing some fall planting, installing a new patio, adding an outdoor kitchen, creating a garden water feature, devising a new outdoor lighting design, or signing a contract for winter season snow removal or holiday lighting, Grandview will donate to the fight against breast cancer.

“My hope is that this will one day no longer be needed,” says Hazen, “but until that time, my sister and I, as well as Grandview Outdoor, will remain dedicated to the fight against this horrible disease.”
