Oh...my...gosh!  Do they actually grow like that?

That's one of the reactions Chilli Willy got at the Chilli Festival in Brighton on the 18th - 19th September 2010.

You see, Chilli Willy is a company based around a real chilli plant, that grows naturally phallic shaped chillies.  They are not genetically modified.  Just a "regular" chilli pepper.

The seeds to grow these chillies are very rare, but Chilli Willy has produced a range of products which allow you to "Grow Your Own Naughty Looking Chillies!" at home or in the office to mark the foundation of the company.

Chilli Willy peppers grow just like any other chilli, but turn out rather naughty!  Not only this, but they also taste fantastic and have won Awards for their taste.


So, when Chilli Willy turned up at the Brighton Chilli Festival, they sure turned some heads!

Responses varied from uncontrollable laughter to pure shock and amazement. But whatever the reaction, Chilli Willy Grow Kits were certainly providing entertainment to the crowds that gathered around the Chilli Willy stall.

The Brighton Chilli Festival is hosted by Fiery Foods UK and takes place around the same time every year.  

The festival attracts thousands of chilli-heads from all over for a wide variety of spicy foods available from an array of different stalls including lots of hot sauces, chilli beers, entertainment and the Notorious Chilli Eating Contest where contestants face some of the hottest chillies in the world!

It's a great event and certainly a fantastic day out.  Also part of the 2 day event is the National Chilli Awards, which saw Chilli Willy pick up an Award for Best Name and Label.
