By: WakeMed Health & Hospitals Between Thursday, October 21 and Sunday, October 24, Saks Fifth Avenue in Raleigh will host a charity weekend, donating two percent of sales to WakeMed in support of women’s cancer. WakeMed and Saks will kick off the event with an evening of shopping, wine tasting, entertainment, and a fashion show, followed by a weekend of health information and screenings. Key to the Cure Health Day Thursday, October 21 Stop by our information tables to learn more about a variety of health topics. Prevention is the key to a longer, healthier life. Free and open to the public. Physician Fashion Show Friday, October 22 6 pm - 9 pm Designer Fashions, Second Floor $30 per person Visit www.wakemed.org or call 919.350.7696 to register. Join us for a special evening of shopping, wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres as WakeMed physicians strut their stuff on the catwalk. Key to the Cure Screening Day Saturday, October 23 10 am to 2 pm Health screenings are an important part of preventive health care. Stop by for free cholesterol check, blood pressure and bone density screening. Plus, we'll have lots of health information on hand to help keep you and your family healthy. Free and open to the public. No registration required. The charity shopping weekend has been held by Saks Fifth Avenue since 1999. In total, Key to the Cure events nationwide have generated $33 million for women’s cancer research and treatment centers.
