Core Fusion Studio offers a truly unique approach to fitness. Class sizes are smaller and workouts are fresh and exciting, led by a team of passionate, specialty instructors.
Owner, Vicky Waterman, began dancing at the age of five and performed with many renowned ballet studios. As a young dancer in New York City, Vicky was introduced to Pilates, the Lotte Berk Bar Method, and floor barre exercise by the Royal Ballet of London.
“I’m excited to offer a unique array of fitness classes not currently available in the area,” states Waterman. “Core Fusion Studio is the ideal fitness solution for those who are looking for something a little different, who don’t care for the atmosphere of a large fitness club or the expense of personal training.”
Core Fusion Studio specialty classes include: Xtend barre, TRX, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Hip Hop Hustle, and Stiletto-lates to name just a few.
“Combining dance and Pilates creates an amazingly strong and healthy body with safe results,” Waterman states. “Pilates is phenomenal but taking it upright to intense music is amazing, that is in essence what a barre workout is.”
In 2009, Vicky was diagnosed with the BRAC 1 gene, a hereditary marker for breast and ovarian cancer. She underwent four surgeries including an oophorectomy and a prophylactic double mastectomy.
“My life revolves around exercise and teaching and when that was taken away – I was lost,” says Waterman. “In time, the unequaled joy of exercise with Xtend and the music of Zumba brought me back to a place of unparalleled happiness.”
“My strong desire to share this feeling with others inspired me to open Core Fusion Studio.”
