Oct. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- http://PremiumCreditClaims.co.uk are very pleased to announce the successful case of our claim against  Bank of Scotland for miss-selling Payment Protection Insurance for our client Mr Brown, he is to receive a total of £12,523.89 in full and final settlement of the case that will go direct into his bank account.

Mr Brown of St Albans contacted http://PremiumCreditClaims.co.uk in July 2010 as he had heard that many Payment Protection Policies taken out with loans and credit cards had been mis-sold.  He had checked his own Car Finance agreement that he had taken out in 2002 with Capital Bank Motor Loan, a subsiduary of Bank of Scotland, and realised he had had PPI with the loan.

http://Premiumcreditclaims.co.uk sent Mr Brown a claim pack to evaluate if Mr Brown had a case to claim, "I just completed the easy claim pack and sent it off, and http://Premiumcreditclaims.co.uk did the rest" says Mr Brown who is a factory worker.

The claim only took 11 weeks to complete and includes a total of £4,730 in interest that Premium Credit Claims.co.uk  have managed to include in the settlement.

"Our expertise at evaluating and processing Payment Protection Insurance claims means we can usually get a satisfactory result for our clients, once we have established a claim exists, most claims are now settled within 8 weeks". says Howard Slinker, the Claims Manager, at their Manchester Headquarters.

A delighted Mr Brown says he did not expect such a windfall so quickly, and says he will use the money to treat his wife and family, "We will probably use the money to go on a family holiday, and get some jobs done around the house, it will definately come in handy, as we have been struggling recently financially and this is just the boost we needed."

Mr Brown was not aware when he took out the loan that the Payment Protection Insurance was optional, and he was not told the full cost of the Insurance element of the loan, nor was he told that interest would be charged on the Insurance.

"To be honest, I did not understand the PPI and it was just added in to the Car Loan, it was only later that I realised I was paying a lot more on the loan just for the insurance part, it was never really explained to me, I later felt it was pushed on to me by the salesman, at the time of the car sale."

It is estimated that there are up to 20 Million such policies in existence, of which the majority could have been mis-sold, Howard Slinker at Premium Credit Claims reckons everyone should check their loans and credit card agreement to see if they have Payment Protection Insurance that may have been mis-sold.

"Sometimes the PPI was added without even the consumer knowing about it, and sometimes it was unfairly sold to them by the lender or salesperson at the time the loan was sanctioned."
