Oct. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- A Certificate of Partnership was signed by International Franchise Association (IFA) President and CEO Stephen J. Caldeira and Executive Director of the Employer Partnership Office of the U.S. Army Reserve September 16, 2010.  The end benefit of this collaboration is to funnel franchise prospects for the pool of Army Reservists toward the IFA’s Veteran’s Transition Franchise Initiative, VetFran, program.

The VetFran connects honorable discharged veterans of the US Armed Forced with discounts and incentives offered by franchise companies specifically for veterans to help them get started building their own business.

Knowing that reservists often first seek employment in the defense or aviation sector because of the close relation to the skills gained in the military, and seeing that pool of opportunity shrinking in the coming year.  To protect their men and woman the US Army Reserve has teamed up with the IFA to offer a better chance to gain full value of their skills and experiences.

“We are pleased to enter into this partnership with the Army Reserve to further help veterans buy franchises,” said Caldeira.  “Today, almost 400 companies are participating in the VetFran program and to date have helped nearly 2,000 veterans get into business for themselves through franchising. This new partnership will help us introduce franchising as a post service career option to even more honorably discharged military men and women.”

Some veterans are finding their military training in organization, self motivation and determination offers them a special skill set to become entrepreneurs.

American Consumer Financial Network, (ACFN) boasts 16% of its franchise’s are veterans.  “We have found veterans to be an excellent fit with our business and are investing in veteran specific advertising in conjunction with special discounts to attract more veterans to our franchise,” said Jeff Kerr, President and founder of ACFN.

“ ACFN's ATM franchise allows veterans to skip the start up process, equipping them with the tools and the know how to manage their business". Avi Blankroth, Excecutive Vice President of ACFN says. "The process begins with each franchisee purchasing one ATM, while ACFN locates and contracts  lucrative placement locations"

ACFN furnishes their franchisees with high traffic locations through the use of a state of the art technology. Once a location is identified, ACFN handles all the legal heavy lifting, even adding a clause that states if profits aren’t acceptable, business can and will be taken elsewhere. A guarantee that solid is impossible with other brick and mortar franchises, but the ACFN difference offers unparalleled protection.

For a starting price of $25,000, anyone can purchase the tools necessary to start their own network of working ACFN ATMs. The package includes marketing and sales assistance, and an award winning customer service that guides franchisees through the ATM servicing process one step at a time.

Even Jeff Kerr has operated his own network of ATMs for more than a decade. He comments, “My personal experience from owning and operating a network of ATMs has been very valuable. I know the many benefits that can be achieved and have done the work required to secure them. The Return on Investment (ROI) ATMs generate is the highest I have seen in my 24 years of business ownership.

When you add to that the transparency provided by our franchise documents ACFN offers an attractive path to join the ranks of entrepreneurs”.

The company also provides comprehensive training at their headquarters in San Jose, California and the best ongoing customer service that can only be described as second to none.
