Kent Dance Studio is #1 in the Northwest!
Allegro Performing Arts Academy has been named the Best Dance Studio in the Northwest by the Federation of Dance Competitions. Out of eleven Northwest states, Allegro claimed the top spot by the accumulation of their competition scores this year.

The Federation of Dance Competitions then invited owner Tonya Goodwillie and her husband to travel to New Orleans for their annual Gala in August 2010. It was in New Orleans that Tonya was presented with the honor of #1 in the Northwest division!
There are eleven states in the Northwest division; Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. Allegro Performing Arts Academy was the only state from Washington to have been named in the top 10 in the Northwest and now are extremely thrilled to be #1.
The Federation of Dance Competitions consists of 13 dance competitions across the country. By attending a FDC competition, your scores accumulate throughout the year and top studios in the country are honored based on their high scores.
Allegro attended only 5 of the 13 FDC competitions and still accumulated a large amount of points to receive this honor. The Allegro Precision Dance Company, an elite group of dancers at Allegro, are the talented dancers that worked hard at competition this year.

Allegro is now preparing for a new competition year that will begin in January 2011. They have been choreographing and rehearsing since August 2010 and are looking forward to another great competition season. With a team of 85 dancers and many exciting solos, duos, trios and group numbers... it's a lot of work but also so much fun!
