The Walk, which raises funds for critical research and patient education and support, was a celebration, complete with music, refreshments and family activities. The lighted balloons they carried was a sight to behold - white for survivors, red for supporters and gold to remember those who have died.
“Light The Night Walk gives hope to patients and their families and lets them know they are not alone in their battle against cancer,” said Robert Ojeda, Executive Director of the Greater Sacramento Area Chapter. “It’s a night to pay tribute to lives touched by cancer, honor those we’ve lost and celebrate the lives that have been saved. And the money raised supports critical research and patient education and services.”
Light The Night’s 2010 National Associate Sponsors in the United States are: Bristol-Myers
Squibb, Celgene Corporation, Cephalon Inc., Genentech/Biogen Idec, Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company and Quest Diagnostics.
