Introduced in San Diego during Comic Con in Late July 2010, the initial run of MAYHEM costumes sold fast. Fans of all ages clamored to meet Tyrese Gibson as he walked the convention floor with several costumed MAYHEM characters. Gibson later appeared for an in-store signing at the Party City in Chula Vista, CA.
