RADVision and Samsung VC240 now in Stock at VideoCentric

Oct. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- New software from RADvision for the Samsung-based 24” desktop hardware means that VideoCentric will now commence demonstrating and shipping units across the UK and customers can pre-test HD interoperability and quality against systems from every other major manufacturer.

The self-contained VC-240 is an easy system to self-install, and VideoCentric has sufficient demonstration units to cover all of its sales locations and a wide range of internet IP addresses are available for customers to test the new RADvision/Samsung product against more familiar manufacturers such as Polycom, Tandberg (now part of Cisco), Sony and Lifesize.

“At less than £2k, the new VC-240 marks a step change in the cost of HD videoconferencing at the Executive desktop, and we have units ready for customers to trial immediately”, says David Shimell, Sales Director at VideoCentric UK Ltd. He added, “customers buying 6 or more units from VideoCentric will also receive a free FTS Firewall Traversal Server, so that desktop VC units may be deployed on a LAN behind a secure firewall whereas below that number, an individual public IP address is needed for each VC-240 if it is to be used over the internet”. FTS was launched in September 2010 by VideoCentric and allows both LAN users and internet users to register with it overcoming the problems that desktop users have traditionally faced with firewall traversal.
