South Hadley Footbridge Gets Extreme Makeover

Oct. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Home Improvement Associates, LLC, developers of Jacob’s Edge, a new community of condominium homes bordering the Black Stevens Conservation Area in South Hadley, Massachusetts, is coordinating the reconstruction of a footbridge which spans the Jacob's Edge Brook located in the popular natural habitat behind the community.

Volunteers from Count Me In, a new South Hadley organization dedicated to providing volunteerism, will join the builders at South Hadley High School Saturday morning to assist in the project. Materials have been generously donated by 84 Lumber.

Local developers Alan Tabin and business partner Edward Cauley have been very involved with the trail system throughout the construction of Jacobs Edge, spearheading clean-up efforts to maintain the well-used trail system that is enjoyed by joggers, walkers and nature enthusiasts.  “Jacob’s Edge residents have the luxury of being able to access the Black Stevens trail system from their doorstep. Everyone visiting our model home is very interested in the trail system and the ability to live next to a natural habitat.  There just isn’t anything like it locally,” says Tabin.  

Sales remain steady as Jacob’s Edge continues to thrive despite the economy. Ground was just broken on the next planned phase at Jacob’s Edge, these homes directly bordering the conservation area. “Some will feature four-season sunrooms, full walk-out lower levels and, of course, the ultimate in privacy,” according to Tabin.
