Pensioners Mis-Sold Credit Card Payment Protection Receive £21,000 Payout Thanks To Ashworth Law

Oct. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- An elderly couple who were mis-sold a credit card insurance policy are celebrating after receiving back nearly £22,000, thanks to the expertise of a Harrogate law firm.

Ashworth Law - which specialises in recovering money on behalf of clients who have been mis-sold financial policies – successfully argued that the pensioners, from Watford, did not need the Payment Protection Insurance sold to them by the card company.

Between 1995 and 2005, the couple, who wish to remain anonymous, paid more than £6,000 into the policy. However, with interest, the amount paid back to them was just less than £22,000.

Since its launch last year, Ashworth Law now handles instructions from 4,000 new clients every month, and has recovered in excess of £15 million for those who have been mis-sold financial policies.
