3DFF Announces Awards and Closes Its Four-day Festival with a Sold-Out Crowd!

The world’s first 3D Film Festival (3DFF) ended its 4-day run closing first with the critically acclaimed film by Joe Dante, “The Hole” and ending with the award ceremony celebrating the best of its 3D film screenings.

Oct. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- The world’s first 3D Film Festival (3DFF) ended its 4-day run closing first with the critically acclaimed film by Joe Dante, “The Hole” then capped off the night  with the award ceremony celebrating the best of its 3D film screenings.  The jury consisted of Board Members who previewed the films, shorts, and music videos throughout the festival.  Christopher Crescitelli, Festival Director, announced the winners, to deafening applause when he named “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” as the 2010 audience award.  “We feel honored to have been able to showcase a sampling of the best 3D films that the independent and studio-supported filmmaking community has to offer.  We honor all of our filmmakers, both domestic and international, who, as they continue to stride towards 3D purity, 3DFF will always be there to support them,” says Mr. Crescitelli.  

Closing night was proceeded by the 3opolis 3D Night Club which maxed 8,000 people who attended at the world famous Avalon Hollywood. Guests experienced the 3D dance-floor, a Dream Factory original production and a signature event for the 3D Film Festival, featuring 3D Television and infrared-gesture interactive displays.
