The Chief Instructor of the new West Raleigh Karate International, Chester Rowe, 35, earned his first Black Belt at the age of 12. After graduating from NCSU he went on to earn his MBA from the University of South Carolina. He is now a 5th Degree Black Belt in Karate. Together with is wife, Amanda, they will operate the fifth Triangle location of Karate International.
Owners Chester and Amanda Rowe have enjoyed the opportunity of training in the Karate International system, working with age specific curriculum for children. Karate International focuses on teaching children defensive skills in the martial arts while building their self confidence and self esteem. The concern over the epidemic of childhood obesity is everywhere today. Karate International has examined this concern and has concluded that lifestyle change is imperative if our children are to have healthy and productive lives.
Mr. Rowe has also brought to the West Raleigh Leesville Road location, the fabulous Adult curriculum which combines martial arts with development of the mind, body and spirit. Adults will use the martial arts to enjoy stress reduction, weight loss and general lifetime fitness. This is an indoor activity that adults can train in all year long. They find that they are rewarded in the relationships they build with other adult students pursuing fitness and self defense.
Karate International of West Raleigh will host a Grand Opening Day and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 9101 Leesville Road on Saturday, October 9, 2010. To find out more information about the Grand Opening Schedule of events, contact Chester Rowe at 919-926-1653 or visit the website at www.WestRaleighKarate.com.
