Oct. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Bucks County Gallery of Fine Arts is pleased to present its 2nd annual juried sculpture show entitled Bucks County Sculpture Showcase 2010.

The Bucks County Gallery of Fine Arts, the largest fine art gallery in Bucks County, is in gorgeous New Hope, Pennsylvania amidst many cultural activities.  It boasts both indoor and outdoor spaces which are fully utilized for the unique sculptures you can view from many vantage points.  While inside the seven (7) room, two (2) story gallery contemplate the talents of artisans from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware.

Thanks to the keen eyes of Lisa Tremper Hanover, curator at the Phillip & Muriel Berman Museum at Ursinus College as well as Howard Cooperman, owner of the gallery with thirty (30) years experience, the Bucks County Sculpture Showcase has sculpture in bronze, metal, wood, resin and more.

Tony Williams is one of the featured artisans whose studio is in Souderton, Pennsylvania.  While Tony did not have to travel more than 20 miles, he embodies the traditions of Bucks County artists of the past and the present.  Tony submitted his sculpture "No More Night" which is hand carved mahogany.  His love of wood is not typically thought of for such fine sculpture but it will beckon you to reach out to run your fingers over such a magnificent shape and form.  It is no wonder he was included in the book "Studio Furniture:  Today's Leading Woodworkers" by Tina Skinner of Schiffer Publication.

Bucks County Gallery of Fine Art is proud to provide a venue for sixty (60) sculptures October 1st  thru October 30th.  Also on display will be works by many award winning sculptors including:  Christopher Smith, Barry Woods Johnston, William Dean Kilpatrick, Robert Kock, Bill Marshall, George McMonigle, Dana Stewart, Richard Summons, Joel Tea and Gordon Gund all represented by the gallery.

The vibe in New Hope is laid back, rich in the art which inspired the New Hope School painters and where the Pennsylvania Impressionists painted while in beautiful historic Bucks County.  As a quick one hour getaway from Philadelphia or 1 1/2 hours from New York visit Bucks County Gallery of Fine Art, hip restaurants, wineries, the playhouse, or spend the night in one of the many bed and breakfast establishments.  In the morning ride a bike, take the steam engine train or walk along the Delaware River to take note of the magnificent foliage.

Howard Cooperman, owner of Bucks County Gallery of Fine Art,  invites you to the Bucks County Sculpture Showcase 2010 at 77 West Bridge Street, New Hope, PA 18938.  He will be able to answer any questions you have at 215-862-5272 or visit the gallery's website www.buckscountygalleryart.com.
